Insulation Specialty, Inc. (ISI) was founded in 1985 by Ralph and Concetta Madison of Bakersfield, Vermont. Prior to the founding of ISI, Mr. Madison worked for Acousta-Therm and Johns Manville. The Madisons identified a strong need in the area for high-quality products and services related to the insulating of heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing systems in commercial and industrial buildings. Hard work and dedication produced tremendous success.
Today, ISI services are constantly in demand by the largest industry and state and federal government contractors in the area. ISI specialty insulation crew members are at work throughout the region on projects including the US Border Point of Entry station in Champlain, NY, the Plattsburgh (NY) International Airport, hospital facilities in Saranac Lake, Elizabethtown and Plattsburgh, NY, and correctional facilities in Dannemora and Malone, NY -- to name a few.
ISI's great success is due in large part to the dedication of its highly-skilled, key crew members, including (with years of service in parentheses following crew member name): Steve Maynard (20); Steve Dudley (18); Greg Kane (19); Bill Madison (18); Tim Kane (17); Jacob Curtis (5); Dan Williams (5); Ralph Madison (12).
ISI is a Women in Business Enterprise (WBE). The company is owned, operated and managed by Concetta Madison, Tori Tabor, Ralph Madison, Jr., and William Madison, all of Bakersfield, Vermont. Michael Foley is ISI's project manager and estimator.
